Confirmation went well. :D I participated in a mass for the first time in...like...3 years? And I remembered everything I was supposed to say and when to say it. (Probably helped that I heard it all this morning as a refresher. XD) I thought the ceremony was really well done. o_o; The bishop was a really good speaker and he actually kept me interested in what he had to say, which never happens in church. He was also a perfect cross between the actor that's in every film the crooked nose guy Owen Wilson and this guy Botond from my class in grade 8. Like seriously, if they merged those two people, it'd be this bishop. :| Anyway, I was my brother's sponsor so I was sitting next to him and next to his friend. XD This is the friend I actually recognize since he comes over every so often and last time he was over, we had a long discussion about how KH2 is a gay dating sim characters in Kingdom Hearts. So yeah, it wasn't too bad. I like that friend. He's nice. XD; Afterwards...we were going to just go out for appetizers, but since Bryan and I were pretty hungry, we ended up eating dinner. XD We went to this little Japanese place that's close by. I love that restaurant...it's so cute. :D We shared an order of ika and then chicken fried rice, and I had sushiii~ 8D And now I'm going to bed. XD

Hey mom. Instead of recording shows you'll never, ever watch onto the DVD recorder and filling up the HDD (again), you could, you know, go out and buy milk. Or bread. Or sauce for the 10 tonnes of pasta in the pantry. Or at the very least not get mad at me for not eating anything for breakfast/lunch when there's nothing to eat. :\ (I never eat it anyway on weekends...why do you care today all of a sudden?) ;_; I'm so, so hungry. I woke up several hours before I wanted to today and as such I'm hungry earlier than normal and crave breakfast...which I don't think is allowed to be eaten with anything but milk (rofl, I hate juice :[). The new coffee maker (which we also didn't need; mom, we got our old one about 7 months ago and it worked fine) sounds like a frigging space shuttle taking off and woke me up. :| Dad agrees with me on the space shuttle thing. Not to mention this new one, instead of being a nice neutral white, is a fire-truck red, meaning it sticks out like a sore thumb in the kitchen and looks so out of place. I hate it. D: Also, don't leave the radio on in every room you go to. I swear, CBC is playing in roughly 5 rooms--all on different radios, mind you--and you aren't even in any of them. Rofl, I'm trying to do my English journal response thingy (which is also stupid...why does she want a brainstorming page? It's a JOURNAL. Are people THAT disorganized with their thoughts? o_O) but I keep getting up to go into the kitchen every couple minutes to find something to eat, just to realize there ISN'T anything to eat. :\ We do have yoghourt though. Too bad when I looked on the label, it said it expired around January 2nd. Just like everything else in our fridge. :[ ;_; fooood... edit: I also keep trying to write this English assignment in French. @_@ It's confusing me because instead of writing "after having" I'll write "apres avoir" and then wonder why it looks wrong (aside from the missing accent). Gah. edit #2: After a good half hour of digging around the pantry, I managed to find a package of microwave Kraft Dinner WITH the noodles attached instead of just a cheese package. So now I have food that doesn't require milk. Or juice. Since I realized while searching the fridge that we don't have that either. And mom's still recording stuff. :|

Okay, roughly halfway through the day now. Let's recap! So my monologue presentation was to be today. Originally, I'd planned to just write it last night, copy a political comic strip off the internet on stem cell research, and then take 5 minutes to write my essay. However, there were no comics on the internet that supported my point. xD Even though I disagree with it, I had to follow a Catholic perspective for my essay so my point was that stem cell research is okay but you can't destroy embryos for it which apparently is the same view as George W. Bush. So I found absolutely nothing on his side, naturally. Had to make something up myself. D< Then the digital copy of my essay ceased to exist so I had to type that all out again. What fun. :B But! I got it all done and this morning I spent Physics copying out my monologue on strips of paper to use as cue cards since, well, there was NO way I was going to memorize it in an hour. XD I didn't even finish doing that though since I had to write a test on the side. So while Susie was presenting her monologue--she went first--I quickly wrote out the last two cards and then sat back and waited. Someone else went and then it was my turn. I hadn't even PRACTISED my presentation, save for the contents of the first 2 minutes and 25 seconds since that was the last time I timed it last night. XD All in all, it went exceedingly well. o_O; It was very obvious that I hadn't memorized a word of it since I kept looking down at my papers every two or three words but every time I looked at Madame, she'd be nodding in that supportive way like you're doing a good job or yawning...T_T;; That probably wasn't good. Then after I finished, she said I did a good job and gave people the two minutes to come up with questions to ask me. XD Some people didn't even know what stem cells (the topic of my essay/monologue) were so I had to explain it a few times, and also explain the difference between adult and embryonic cells a few times. That was awkward since I could only do it in French and it's hard enough to explain details to someone when they already have a rough idea what you're talking about but...explaining from scratch? *_*; Um, so the questions were actually pretty easy to answer. I kept forgetting to conjugate my verbs while speaking (bad, Erica!) but I do that in French when I'm nervous and I still got my point across damn well. That was the part I was most worried about, too, but since I answered all the questions (and answered comprehension questions for people before the actual flow of questions started) she let me off and I didn't have to answer a Madame!question. :O I think I did okay for that, and Susie said in Physics that this monologue isn't worth very much so...here's hoping that's true! XD After French I went down to the caf and grabbed some pizza. They must have gotten A lunch mixed up with B because the pizza was actually pretty damn good. After I bought it, I just went upstairs though. The only empty seats were by big groups of grade nines and I didn't want to eat with them. (Everyone else is on the art trip drawing naked people!) So I dumped my plate and ate the pizza while going upstairs. I was sitting outside my computers class for about 3 minutes when Titus came up and unlocked the door for me. Yay. :3 Lunch is almost over now so I guess I'll go start my work. Still have no idea what I'll do for art. o_O; The classroom should be open though, so...guess I'll just continue on my statue? Or maybe I should buckle down and start my CPT roughs. They're due tomorrow and I have NO idea what I'm gonna do. ._.; Going straight home after school today. I'm exhausted and I don't want to get home late. x_x Edit: Yay! They moved our computers exam. It's on the 23rd now so it doesn't conflict with Art and I won't be writing three in one day. :D~

Since LJ extended only the paid account time a few months back, it means my icons add-on expired a week earlier than my paid account. xD I want to renew them both at the same time so they aren't always out of synch but that means I have to wait a whole week. ;_; I don't know how it picked which ones to set as inactive...it seemed pretty random to me when I looked through. I can't use my new icons though! Woe!! T_TUm, right. Stayed up until 2:30 last night watching Elf and making icons. XD; Was rather tired this morning but still got up a little earlier than usual and got to school at 7:50, which is when we've left our house half the time this year. :B Failed a quiz in Physics...but that's nothing new. In French, we started writing our oral exams. Last year we had to write and then memorise a speech for orals. This year, it's a monologue. We walked in and she gave everyone a list of characters we could write as. Only one person could pick a character and it was ridiculous because we had to choose on the spot. o_o; I ended up choosing "an old person who lived at the home that Meursault's mother lived in." This is going to be one boring monologue. Um, art was art. Continued carving. Boring. Lunch was annoying. Ravioli does not like me. Now computers. I should go do my work so I can stay ahead. I miss my icons. ;___; Or not. I deleted two old ones and my two newest ones became active. w00t. xD;
