Version 4 of my LJ features Jade and Anise, two characters from Tales of the Abyss. I ♥ these two; they make such an awesome team. :D

Augh.
I tried to start Metal Gear Solid 2 last night but there was no voice acting. My brother told me the game probably just didn't have it but that's ridiculous. So we stopped trying to play and did something else. I knew something had to be wrong but I didn't care enough to look into it.

So today, I popped in Persona 3 FES and... and still no voice acting. Like, for this one part around where I signed the contract in the beginning, the receptionist or whatever sooorta had a voice. It was all glitchy but I thought maybe that was on purpose. But... then there weren't any other voices. I can only sit there and assume the people speaking WITHOUT A VOICE in anime cutscenes is just supposed to be for dramatic effect. And according to Youtube, they are saying shit.

So WHAT THE HELL. Is it my PS2 refusing to transmit the voice acting in games to the speakers? Background music and sound effects work FINE so I don't understand. I don't know what my brother did with the old PS2 so I can't test the games on that. And I don't have any other speakers to use if it turns out it is my speakers. Just... uggh. :(

I want a game to distract me from the fact that I'm being a good friend and not advancing in ToV while my game partner isn't around and DS games aren't doing the trick BAAAAW.

;_;'

y halo thar E3 opinions and recap
This is my post on the E3 conferences, now that the big three have come and gone. Last year I watched all three conferences but the only one I paid any mind to was Nintendo's because I had no plans whatsoever to pick up the other consoles. This time around? I actually own every console on the market, even the handhelds. So everything they were showing off wasn't something I could go, "hey, that's pretty cool. I'd get that if I had ____ console" it was "ho snap that looks pretty neat, I'll have to pick that up." All in all, I think my bank account is going to suffer this year, but at least everything I'm interested in is something my brother will want. XD

Heads up... this is long. :D

So overall, what I'm looking forward to most? Portal sequel, the new dashboard/live party features, and Fable II on the 360. And um. Um. :'D That's about it. Oh, and Cooking something or whatever the hell it is for DS. That recipe thing. ONLY BECAUSE SHIT I FAIL AT COOKING AND NEED IDEAS AND INSTRUCTIONS, K? I dunno. While I was more impressed by Sony's presence at E3 than Nintendo's, nothing really jumped out at me. :/ FF is still the only game I'm really looking forward to on it and... I guess it's staying that way for a bit.

In other, slightly related news. I do believe my 360 heats up my whole dorm room goddamn when it's turned on for a fair amount of time. Like, it was freezing earlier, so I turned it on jokingly and forgot about it. Noticed it was on about 10 minutes ago and turned if off. Now? It's freaking colder again. XD
