Today was fun. Japanese went well. As it turns out, the stuff I was fretting over was changed to next week, so I'm good. After that, I went home and mom brought me out to McCarthy's...so now I have the guy pants! I have POCKETS. And BELT LOOPS. HAHA.

Anyway, then skip forward a few hours to my party. That was fuuun. We initiated Kaitlin to the world of video games with Kingdom Hearts and then straight into Katamari. That was basically the first few hours. Then we had food. That was funny...we're the most useless group of people I've ever known. We spilled like...EVERYTHING. (But the stains came out, believe it or not, guys!) And then my mom was in the room when everyone was talking about the plural of phallus (which is both phalli and phalluses, btw) and also when Mara said what I quoted at the beginning of this. Then it kinda got worse from there. XD

After that, we went downstairs and I opened my gifts. ^_^ Money for Anime North, gift certificates, and Advent Children ftw. :DD But the best was the gift from Mara and Lisa...they recorded John's laugh (he's Lisa's boyfriend) since at her party, I loved it. It's like a cross between an evil laugh and an insane laugh. So anyway, they got it on tape so I can carry it around with me and just hit play whenever I want maniacal laughter and make it look like I'm doing it. SO MUCH WIN. :DD Then we basically just hung out in my room for an hour reading Teen People from three years ago (wtf XD). Then we went back downstairs for more Katamari and...that was mostly it, I think. XD

Jeez, I'm falling asleep here. XD

Oh, dad also took my brother and I out to test drive two vans. One's a Honda and one's a Toyota and it looks like, since my brother doesn't care, I get to pick which one we get. And I'm leaning toward the Toyota since the seats were comfier. XD They were both nice though. We haven't had a new vehicle since we got our current van which was back in...'96? o.o So I kinda can't wait to get this one, though I don't think they're gonna get it in the dark red like I want. ;_; Ah well.

I feel like drawing but I know if I go sit down to draw, I'll fall asleep. xD

So the Japanese test went...um...yeah. I did TERRIBLY on the kanji part. ;_; I didn't study that hard enough and I blanked out for most of them. I know I did pretty good on the reading part, but when it came to writing them I forgot most of them. oO; And then I forgot a lot of the required kanji for the dictation. XD The final part of the test, though, the regular reading/listening/writing part went well. The listening test was BEYOND easy. The reading one was really simple too since you didn't have to make up answers or look hard for them...the questions were taken right from the text. o_o; However...the written part was much harder. The first part was a chart with 20 verbs. We had to write conditional (I think?) form, volitional form, and its English meaning. The first two columns were easy enough, but NO ONE studied the vocab so we couldn't get all the meanings. XDD Some of us guilted her into giving us a few answers and we all shared them when she wasn't paying attention or when she was answering others' questions. Then the ones that NO ONE could get, a few of us cheated and looked up. We're so awful, but at least we'll pass. XDD; I think I'm gonna get a 92% or so on that part.

In other news, Lloyd isn't doing so well again. He has trouble staying afloat and sort of...tips backward when he's not swimming. He's also not eating very much. (I managed to coax him into eating some pieces of crushed pellet last night, but that's the first he's had in a while.) I think mom's worried I'll flip out when he dies so she wanted me to have a new fish (or at least, that's how it seems to me). We were going to get one on Thursday after Careers, but that's when I had that breakdown and I think buying a "replacement fish" would've been too much for me at that point so we didn't (that and I wanted to get the hell out of public--since there's nothing I hate more than crying in public). So anyway, dad and I went to buy a new fish today. I wanted to get a blue one and name it Yuan, but all the blue ones were ugly and not worthy of the name. We still got a blue one and he's okay. I'm going to resent this fish just because it is meant to be a Lloyd replacement, I think. So anyway...this fish isn't pretty enough to be a Yuan and it's not ugly enough to be a Regal. It kinda fits Genis in looks (it's blue and has white on its head...kinda like Genis XDD) but Genis is a stupid name for a fish. Dad suggested naming it after Willy Wonka but that's not very suitable for a blue fish, I think. XD So now I need help naming him. ._. Doesn't have to be Tales, but I wanna keep the pattern of naming my pets after Video Game characters because I have absolutely no life XD.

Edit: With ieatpanties' help, I've named newfish Eriol, because it's almost certainly an evil fish. :D

あの…今朝、８時に起きて、日本語のクラスに行きました。早く文化祭の朝会に行なくちゃいけませんでしたよ。面白かった…でも、ファーシのクラスの発表会が暇取りすぎました。私たちの発表会は切り下げたんです。よかった！私たちはうざいおどりを踊りませんでしたよ。わたし、死ななかったぜ。＾＾ダンスの時は本当に悪かった...私たちは整いませんでしたから。でも！観客さんは「Ｉｆ　ｙｏｕ’ｒｅ　ｈａｐｐｙ　ａｎｄ　ｙｏｕ　ｋｎｏｗ　ｉｔ」が大好きでしたよ。＾＾誰もは日本語の歌詞をわかりませんでした。でも、みんなはアクションをすると思います。私は歌詞を思い出しましたよ。＾＾

I have no idea if the above is right...I just haven't been thinking in English all day today or yesterday, so this is in Japanese. (I guess that's what happens when you spend a whole day watching anime, then another actually in Japanese class. XD) I'll translate later. Maybe.

And the comics are here because my icon journal will be just for graphics now. I'll just put all my translations under a subdomain (as you can see at the bottom of some of those...) pretty soon. But yeah...those were hilarious. XD I have a bunch more that I scanned (and more or less broke the back of my manga! D:) that I haven't gotten around to translating yet. The first amused me because Kratos is just so...out of character. XD The second, because that would have been funny if it happened. The third is sad. D: STUPID GENIS AND COLETTE MADE KRATOS GET STOOD UP BY LLOYD. AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY I HATE THEM.

Today was a hell of a lot better than yesterday. Everyone woke up late and I ended up leaving for Japanese class around the time it was due to start. So I got there maybe half an hour late. x_X; I didn't miss much, though. We also barely did anything. We learned how to describe things with verbs (basically just learning how to say things like "the book that I bought") and then did a few exercises on that. Then the grade 10 class came in again and we danced. XDD; Aaron and I had practised during break with sensei so now we're all really good at it. :D I think we're like...presenting in front of the school next week during the culture assembly or something, wtf. XD

Then I drove home...on highway 7 no less. XD It was fun! I think I have to leave, like, NOW to drive my brother to his party though. x_X

Edit: Oh! Almost forgot! ^___^ We got USB 2.0 ports now~ We've got four of them. Four working ones. Omg. :D Haven't really gotten much use out of them, but I was planning to rip my FFX OST this weekend, so we'll see how much faster songs transfer onto my iPod now. XD Also, dad got 256 more megs of RAM but...it's not working ;_;! So we're gonna figure that out next.

Anyway, today was okay. Woke up late. Got to Japanese late. Wrote the dictation thingy. Then we did...um...I don't remember what we did. o_o Agh. I meant to say a lot about class but I just don't want to now. x_x; We basically did nothing until 12 when the Level 1 class came in and we did the dancing thing again. Also, we learned how to sing "If you're happy and you know it" in Japanese. (shiawase nara te o tatakou~)

Oh. In the car on the way to Japanese, I beat KH:CoM. Started the Riku side of it while waiting for mom to pick me up afterwards. So I drove home from there. Went okay. We stayed home for a bit. Then we went out again because we wanted to see Curious George. I drove aaaall the way to Promenade and of course, it was sold out, so it was all for nothing. At this point I was overtired and cranky. But Bryan wanted to go buy Mario Strikers or whatever (the soccer game) so we went to EB Games and he spent ten minutes playing the game on the GCN they set up, which is just wtf since he was buying it anyway. x_x; So we wait for him. Then we go to T&T and wait for mom to get food. Crappy food. (Dinner sucked.)

And then we went home. Dad came home and had rented War of the Worlds and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. They're watching the second one now but I don't feel like watching movies at all. T_T;

So yeah.

Okay, today I woke up pretty late for a school day. o_O I woke at 8 and still had to take a shower and be ready to go at 8:10. Wtf. XD I ended up leaving around 8:20 and got to class on time. Yay. So anyway, I had to write my exam today. Since I missed it last week (and so did this other person), we wrote in another classroom. This classroom wasn't heated. IT WAS FRIGGING COLD. ;__;! By the time mom picked me up, I still wasn't warmed up. The exam wasn't...that bad, but I didn't remember very much kanji...which was major suckage. While writing it, the other girl who was writing kept...I dunno...eating something. Or she was sucking on one of those cough drops and clicking it into her teeth. I don't know but it was SO annoying. >_<! After that I just did classwork until the last little bit of class. The first year students came to our class and we all did this...traditional Japanese dance. Wtf, it was so weird. And Dean's class didn't get to come. DD:

After class, mom picked me up and drove into this residential area where we switched seats. I basically drove from there to Promenade Mall after that. We went inside and mom got some spices, then we went to EB Games and I got Tales of Legendia. (^__^ Ugly cover, but still a Tales game!) After that, we went into that cute store and I bought a new pencil case. It's adorable. And hopefully it'll fit all my pencil crayons and such now. XD My current one (which is stolen from my brother) is packed full. x_X Then, we got sushi and ate it. :3

So after that, we basically went home. @_@ I drove aaall the way. *preen*

Anyway...I went to class today. It wasn't too bad. I brought my manga and asked Sensei what that stupid "BAFU~" sound effect meant. It turns out it doesn't actually mean anything. It's just sort of...I think the sound of someone breathing out, kinda? Kinda like "phew" (the sound) but not that meaning. Kind of. It doesn't have one, it's just...I dunno. I can't explain it so I may just not translate that. XD;; No class next week~

We drove Dean home after class and then mom and I went to Burger King for lunch. o_o; I haven't eaten there in ages. The food is so gross. XD;; Mom then drove to the industrial area around the new mall and we switched spots. I didn't forget how to drive! XD I was doing pretty good, but the sun was constantly in my eyes and it was too bright so...I drove home from Wal-Mart/Sam's Club (!!) to get sunglasses. And then I drove back. Then we went into Sam's Club and bought stuff for dinner. Then we were driving around a bit more and mom told me to take a left at this one place near the mall and...I nearly ended up on a freeway on-ramp. XDD I had to pull over so we could switch. (It's illegal for me to drive on one with a G1-level license.) She drove most of the way to this...sports outlet and let me drive there. I got new shoes and then...I drove home from there. o_O I got up to 70kmh~ ^__^ It was so much fun!! (80 is a little high for me, though...I was kinda freaking out when I got that high so I slowed down...XD) But yeah. I just have to convince them to let me drive around either later tonight (after it gets dark) or tomorrow night. My in-car is Monday night and not only will it be my first time driving in busy/heavy traffic AND in the dark (unless I practise that tonight/tomorrow), but it's also election night so it's gonna be even busier than usual. @__@

Um...yeah. =o T'was my day.

edit: ^_^ Dad believes me about the USB ports! He's gonna look into getting a 4-port USB 2.0 card thingy for the bottom ports (we have two near the top of the computer and two near the bottom). Those are the two that partially work but...he says those are the only ones he can replace so I won't complain. Yay, four working ports again~~

Japanese was good this morning. She didn't ask for my composition, which is great because I didn't do it again. Then at around 12'o'clock, sensei brought out the sushi she made for everyone! ^_^ It was really good, though it wasn't the typical rolls or...other things. More like all the ingredients for sushi thrown into one. @__@ Yummy~~ And the carrots were shaped like stars! That was so adorable! XD

After class, mom picked me up and drove me to the parking lot of her workplace...where we switched seats and then we drove around for about an hour or so. That was...unbelievably fun. I was just driving through assorted parking lots and the streets between them but it was awesome. ^_^ We switched again and started home after that, but then when we got to Valeria, I got to drive again. So much fun~ Mom's gonna take me out tomorrow too. And if we can, for at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes everyday from now on. Driving is yay! I still have a bit of trouble with steering--sometimes I oversteer and end up out of the lane I was aiming for. x_X But that'll improve with time, I'm sure.

So yeah, now we're off to Vaughan Mills for some Christmas shopping. oo; Gotta go~

My mom has been bothering me to practise my French more often since she still doesn't believe I think in French. (Hence why she wants to send me away next summer to live in Québec for a month.) And on a side note, while trying to make the é, I made a ▲. That's so cool. Anyway...so last night I sat down and watched CatCF in its entirety in French. T'was pretty cool. Charlie's voice actor was bang on, but the others were just kinda eh. (Veruca's was okay. Wonka's was good, but kinda weird sometimes...and they had to make him talk SO fast to match the lip movements...which was overwhelming. Augustus' was just icky.) The songs were probably the best part. "Les amis vraiment différents~" I want to memorize all of them in French because they were a lot faster and just sounded...cool. o_o; Lol, I'm not used to the English ones now since they seem so slowed down. XD; And they don't have the weird accent on "Willy Wonka." :O

Okay, nerdiness aside...sort of...today was Japanese class. I didn't want to go but I did anyway. My leg got even worse (;_;) and she kept alluding to this essay we have to write. It turns out it's just a 15 line story that we can make up. I honestly couldn't think of anything so I decided to write about Jorfe's bunny. XDD I'd gotten like...three lines down and was trying to think up a second adjective after "mischievious" when Sensei came along. She read what I had so far and suggested I write down "baka." XD So Jorfe, Niiro-sensei says your bunny's an idiot. :DD

Now...my mom wants me to "elevate my leg" since she thinks that'll help or something. o_o She got home too late to take me to the doctor's last night so she'd better get around to it today. -_-; (Plus, I need to find time to get some driving practise in. x_X My next in-car is on Wednesday and I have no idea how I'm going to be practised enough for then.)
