HAPPY NEW YEAR, FLIST! :D

Last night I had guukan, kainobodysangel, lavitaebella676, theatre_diva_89, and triumphantchaos over for New Year's. Omg, it was so much fun. We did our epic redubbing of the fifth Harry Potter movie, played a crapload of Guitar Hero (and some DDR :D) and just had a ton of fun. 8D

I didn't sleep at all last night but I did end up passing out on the couch for a while this afternoon. I only remember drifting off and then waking up because mom brought me a blanket. Then I had some crazy dreams. I brought that up at dinner and my mom said she knew since I had been laughing in my sleep. Apparently everyone just watched me laugh and be weird on the couch instead of waking me up. Wtf. XD I don't remember the dreams at all now though, aww.

Anyway, I'm exhausted, even with the nap, so I'm actually heading to bed now. Hope I wake up at a normal time, too. That'd be pretty cool.

Right, I won't be home for 10 days or something. We leave for Regina this afternoon and we're there until...Monday, I think? It's a family reunion. o.o Then dad flies home and we drive to Saskatoon and stay there until the end of the week and--oh shit. x_x Grandpa flies home with us after that and I have to give up my room for him but it's not clean! *FLAIL* Mom's gonna kill me~

Um, um. Gotta go. XD Dunno if I'll have internet in Regina but last year I could snag my grandpa's neighbour's wifi signal, so maybe it'll still be there this year. Otherwise...see you guys in a week or so~ :x

Omg, I'm so tired. And I have BATTLE INJURIES. Seriously, last night I bled twice. :D Once was the couch's fault (that's the most noticeable and, well, red one XD) and the second time was because Dean scratched me. Bastard. :[ I made him write me a "Sorry I hurt you" card, rofl. Anyway, Catilin's party was so much fun. 8D And breakfast was really good. xD

As soon as I got home this afternoon we did a few hours of yardwork. @_@; And now I think I have to go get changed since we're apparently seeing a movie. o_O

Alyssa has to send me the amazing masterpieces I made on her laptop last night. Especially that last one...with the yellow background that I don't remember colouring in. :| I wanna see just how ugly it is now that I'm sober fully awake. XDD

So, turns out I was right--it did start last night. :x I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.

I hadn't gotten any real cramps yet, so I didn't bother taking a pill. Worked out well since I didn't wake up until 9:30. Then it hurt, so I laid in bed until about...10:30 or 11, after which I got up, ate some food, and took half a pill. However, I think I'm starting to get immune to this. Which is BAD. :\ But yeah, a couple times while I was up and about today, I had to stop and sort of...sit on the floor (awkward when my mom and I were at a sporting goods store looking at jackets) since it hurt. ;_; Not to the usual extent--so the pills were still working at that point, but hurt enough where I didn't want to move :\

Um, anyway. Didn't do that much today. Went out to Chapters to get Kura's birthday gift. I got her a really good Japanese-English dictionary since she doesn't have one...and now I'm going to ask mom if I can go back and get another of the same one since, while it's a lot bigger and bulkier than mine, it's a lot better too. o_o; Mine's falling apart, too, and I got a new French-English dictionary this year. I use my J-E dictionary almost as much (and I've had it about a year longer than I'd had my F-E dictionary), so I don't think she'd mind buying me one. Though, I have to decide if I want that one or a Furigana dictionary. x_o; Probably stick with that one since I'm not mentally at the point where it's faster for me to search by the starting kana rather than the romanised word. @_@;;

Umm...then we were going to go to some toy store for some reason, but it turned out to be closed. I wanted to go home after that, but mom insisted we go look for a new winter jacket for me. Mine's getting old and it bothers me since it's too big. That's why I don't use my coat anymore. o_O; We didn't find anything, and my pills kept shorting out or whatever, so we eventually just came home.

And then I finished up the birthday card and started getting ready to go wheeen...my pills just stopped working. But that's because the 6 hours was about up, and that's when I'm supposed to take another. So I kind of died all of a sudden. And that SUCKED because I doubled over in the shower. xD;; Somehow managed to get out, towelled, and partially dressed before I called SOMEONE to bring me a pill. I ended up being like...40 minutes late to Kura's party because I had to wait for the pill to kick in--I really didn't wanna like, get there and be whining or crying for the first while because of cramps. Would kinda kill the mood. x_o;

I did make it there, and I had a great time. :D They were showing Caitlin Pokémon Stadium 2 when I arrived. We took turns playing the mini games and then I kept playing a bunch of people in the Pokémon Quiz. ;__; I lost one round! Dean beat me! I was so distressed. XD After that, we played Hey You Pikachu. I'm so abusive. I always swear at Pikachu and tell it I hate it now. D: Then after that, finally, we played Pokémon Snap. XD

Then the console was switched to the GCN. We played some SSBM team battles, alternating between Dean and I versus Triffy and Kura, and then Melissa, Alyssa, and Caitlin in a free for all. XD Then we stopped for a bit to watch the Digimon movie. Ooh, that was so much fun. I miss that fandom so much. ;_;' I really feel like making icons from the movie now, too. Omg. xD; But yeah, much childhood nostalgia there.

Then we started watching V for Vendetta, but everyone, by that point, had more or less had enough of movies, so we just switched back to SSBM and played that some more. Finally we stopped and watched a bit of TV, but most of us didn't want to, so we turned that off and attempted a one-word-at-a-time story. And gave up quite quickly. And then people went home.

Now I'm home, have taken another pill, and am waiting for pain to subside before I head off to bed. Though, I really don't feel like sleeping for some reason. Hence why I'm still on.

I SHOULD go to bed, though, since I just realised now that I'd left this entry sitting in Notepad for about 30 minutes without actually posting it. xD

Today was fun. Japanese went well. As it turns out, the stuff I was fretting over was changed to next week, so I'm good. After that, I went home and mom brought me out to McCarthy's...so now I have the guy pants! I have POCKETS. And BELT LOOPS. HAHA.

Anyway, then skip forward a few hours to my party. That was fuuun. We initiated Kaitlin to the world of video games with Kingdom Hearts and then straight into Katamari. That was basically the first few hours. Then we had food. That was funny...we're the most useless group of people I've ever known. We spilled like...EVERYTHING. (But the stains came out, believe it or not, guys!) And then my mom was in the room when everyone was talking about the plural of phallus (which is both phalli and phalluses, btw) and also when Mara said what I quoted at the beginning of this. Then it kinda got worse from there. XD

After that, we went downstairs and I opened my gifts. ^_^ Money for Anime North, gift certificates, and Advent Children ftw. :DD But the best was the gift from Mara and Lisa...they recorded John's laugh (he's Lisa's boyfriend) since at her party, I loved it. It's like a cross between an evil laugh and an insane laugh. So anyway, they got it on tape so I can carry it around with me and just hit play whenever I want maniacal laughter and make it look like I'm doing it. SO MUCH WIN. :DD Then we basically just hung out in my room for an hour reading Teen People from three years ago (wtf XD). Then we went back downstairs for more Katamari and...that was mostly it, I think. XD

Jeez, I'm falling asleep here. XD

Oh, dad also took my brother and I out to test drive two vans. One's a Honda and one's a Toyota and it looks like, since my brother doesn't care, I get to pick which one we get. And I'm leaning toward the Toyota since the seats were comfier. XD They were both nice though. We haven't had a new vehicle since we got our current van which was back in...'96? o.o So I kinda can't wait to get this one, though I don't think they're gonna get it in the dark red like I want. ;_; Ah well.

I feel like drawing but I know if I go sit down to draw, I'll fall asleep. xD

I should be memorizing my French right now but I had to stop. I have one part where I say "moi aussi" and I just CAN'T continue from there because it reminds me of a scene in CatCF and then I want to say "I never knew we had so much in common" right after since that's what's said after the first line. XDD

I love how PC just never gets boring. If one thing calms down, another instantly takes its place. And then that one dies just in time for the next big thing. 8DD

Today couldn't decide if it wanted to be lucky or not.

Lucky:
-Woke up early enough to scan things and translate a strip.
-Made it to the bus on time (albeit barely)
-Was able to finish enough in Computer Science to make myself seem productive
-Finished my French speech's written part before the bell rang
-Got 5/5 on the Physics procedure
-Leg barely hurt today, except when I got stupid (more on that in unlucky heading XD).
-Had sushi for lunch (and had enough money for it)
-Bought the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory "activity book" on my lunch (and had Czersomething ask where I got it. XD)
-Got back to art on time
-DIDN'T FAIL THE ART TEST!!! :DD
-Read manga
-Decided how to deal with Kura when we go to Japan. XDD!
-Dad caught the second moose...we don't think there are any more in the attic anymore.

Unlucky:
-Had to rush to leave, and in my rush, forgot my iPod headphones so I had the music, but no way of listening to it. How frustrating. D:
-So failed the multiple choice of our Computer Science quiz.
-So failed my French orals because my speech definitely isn't long enough, and I had no idea how to lengthen it.
-Definitely failed the Physics lab since no one in the group had any idea what we were doing
-Accidentally hit my knee really hard with the metre stick I was supposed to measure the distance with. (Ouch. My bad knee, too.)
-Had to measure a long distance (approx. 27.218 metres) with said metre stick...while my knee still hurt.
-Forgot ONE artist on my Art Slide IDs. D: And kinda messed up the spelling of a title. And spelled "Rococo" wrong all the way through. *grumble*
-Was confused on a bunch of the multiple choice questions :<
-Hit my knee on the table in art. D:
-knee feels really weird like now. Like something is there that shouldn't be there or like something isn't there that should. Doesn't hurt but holy shit it's bothering me. x_X
-My brother is having a friend over until 8 PM tonight
-I still haven't done my Japanese homework I was supposed to mail to my teacher over break.

...so, by math logic, 13 is a lucky number for me. But I think the unlucky things are weighted higher so I don't know.

So yesterday I went to school for the first two periods. o_o Then mom came, picked me up, and drove me home. I was bored again when I got home...so I ended up just sitting there watching CatCF in French again and trying to write down the lyrics to the songs in French. Some of them where hard to get because they sang so fast and the French subtitles didn't match up with the dubbing. (It was a comparable experience to, say, trying to watch anime with the English dub track and the translated subtitles on as well--it just confuses you in the end.)

We were gonna watch Big Fish last night, too, but then my mom decided she was too tired. ;_; We're gonna try again tonight.

This morning I skipped Japanese because I hadn't written my composition and I just...didn't feel like going. o_o;

Seriously, my old one's been up for ages. o_o; And now I'm going through my folder on the computer and reorganising it. At least it gives me something to do because I'm so bored. Oh well. At least I'm sleeping on the pull-out bed on the couch in the family room tonight. 8D Means I can stay up late playing ToS or memorizing CatCF lyrics in French. :DD

So yeah, don't remember if I mentioned this in my last entry or not (er, second-to-last entry) but I'm not going to school tomorrow. o_o Mom won't let me~

My mom has been bothering me to practise my French more often since she still doesn't believe I think in French. (Hence why she wants to send me away next summer to live in Québec for a month.) And on a side note, while trying to make the é, I made a ▲. That's so cool. Anyway...so last night I sat down and watched CatCF in its entirety in French. T'was pretty cool. Charlie's voice actor was bang on, but the others were just kinda eh. (Veruca's was okay. Wonka's was good, but kinda weird sometimes...and they had to make him talk SO fast to match the lip movements...which was overwhelming. Augustus' was just icky.) The songs were probably the best part. "Les amis vraiment différents~" I want to memorize all of them in French because they were a lot faster and just sounded...cool. o_o; Lol, I'm not used to the English ones now since they seem so slowed down. XD; And they don't have the weird accent on "Willy Wonka." :O

Okay, nerdiness aside...sort of...today was Japanese class. I didn't want to go but I did anyway. My leg got even worse (;_;) and she kept alluding to this essay we have to write. It turns out it's just a 15 line story that we can make up. I honestly couldn't think of anything so I decided to write about Jorfe's bunny. XDD I'd gotten like...three lines down and was trying to think up a second adjective after "mischievious" when Sensei came along. She read what I had so far and suggested I write down "baka." XD So Jorfe, Niiro-sensei says your bunny's an idiot. :DD

Now...my mom wants me to "elevate my leg" since she thinks that'll help or something. o_o She got home too late to take me to the doctor's last night so she'd better get around to it today. -_-; (Plus, I need to find time to get some driving practise in. x_X My next in-car is on Wednesday and I have no idea how I'm going to be practised enough for then.)
