Um, haven't made an entry in a while. Again. Oops.

→ Thanksgiving was good. Mom was in Vegas (one of my cousins was getting married there) so I just chilled with my dad and my brother. Had massive cramps on Saturday and part of Sunday which sucked since I didn't get to see triforce89 but I got lots of sleep over the weekend, ate LOTS OF GOOD FOOD and it was basically just super awesome.

→ Brain!surgery cousin is okay!! ♥ Doctors were amazed but he's doing really well. He's home already because instead of taking weeks/months to relearn how to walk and whatnot, it took him a few days. He's retained all his memories and speech and everything and... he's actually planning to go back to school soon. O_O; Lmao I feel like such an underachiever now, haha. I'm just glad he's okay.

→ Mom came up last weekend. She brought me food, my boots, and some other stuff. We went out for lunch. Went to the mall and they added an entirely new section. I knew they were reno'ing but wow. EB Games moved to a bigger storefront and are now a Gamestop. I picked up Dead Space. Mom also bought me a pair of $50 slippers because they were so comfy and I needed a new one. ;~; omgg I love them so much. Also she bought my groceries. I love herrr. So glad I got to see her since I didn't at Thanksgiving. :'D Wish we'd had more time to talk with just the two of us though. I need to go home again sometime.

→ Started playing Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix last week. It's SO HARD omg. D: I'm playing on Proud Mode and I'm not used to the shitty camera, nor am I used to the controls. (Though thank god it's got the Japanese controls or I'd be dying even more than I am now!) It took me like 3 or 4 hours today just to beat the Cave of Wonders. x_x I'm at level 22 and I don't get guard until 33 because for some reason I decided to choose magic at the beginning of the game. Boo.

→ So close to complete in KH 358/2 Days. :'D I need about 10 more challenge sigils and I'll mark it completed on Backloggery. (I waited until level 100 with the Japanese version but I'm not going to let myself do that again.)

→ HAVE I MENTIONED I LIKE KINGDOM HEARTS? eeeeeee the trailer for BBS that came out this week. sdklfsd want so much!! I'm glad it has a release date (January 9 fuck yeah!) but it's gonna be a lot. x_x; $60ish in Japan and by the time I import, it'll probably be close to $100, ugh. I'll probably try to swing it as my Christmas present and then I can get the one-day shipping and not be paying as much as I would. Otherwise I'm gonna be spoiler-avoiding for half a month again and that sucked. DD: (Yeah, I'm importing. I'm impatient with KH games!)

→ Got accepted into the social networking preview on XBL. :D Yay twitter! I doubt I'll use it much on there though, since I don't have a keypad and I usually play with a computer near me anyway. (That and it's a standalone app on the dashboard?) Haven't had a chance to try out Facebook yet though I probably will over the weekend. I wish Last.fm was available in Canada. ;__;

→ Ordered Microsoft Windows 7 today! :DD I added the CD to my cart so it'll be shipped home sometime but I'll be downloading it and reformatting my netbook to install it this weekend, likely tomorrow. Just have to back everything up and make sure I have my wifi driver downloaded first.

→ Not going into much detail but it involves my FAVOURITE TMI HEALTH ISSUE that you can probably read back on if you're curious. But anyway, my doctor is a little worried, apparently, and is suggesting I get "complete bloodwork" done. But since I don't have an official requisition form, I have to go to a doctor here to get one so I have an appointment on Nov 2nd at the campus clinic. I have a midterm that day so while I can go in and update them on my health status and get the papers, I'll have to wait on the bloodwork. I'm not so good with it and I don't wanna do anything to compromise the test even if it'd be hours before. v_v

→ Final exam schedule is out! The first one I saw on it was my CS exam which is December 22nd. ffffffffff. That's the last day of the exam period. XD; Luckily, I checked the others and I'm pretty sure they go Dec 19 (Saturday), December 21 (Monday) and then the Tuesday one. Thank god! I emailed my family about it and mom said she'll drive me home after classes end around Dec 6th and then she'll drive me back out for my exams and then home again. D'aww. :')

First of all, good luck to everyone doing NaNo on my flist! I'm not a writer so I'm definitely not participating, but I hope that everyone who is has fun~

Recovery is going well so far. I can get by mostly without percocet if I need to (more like when I forget to take it every fourth hour) but my belly button still hurts when I sit/stand regardless of whether I'm on painkillers or not. D8 Overall, it's not so bad though. I'm moving down to half pills tomorrow and then advils soon, hopefully. :O

Anyway, yesterday was somewhat productive. I carved pumpkins and tidied the entryway a bit and between that and lying down on the couch, that was my day. xD; My brother went straight to a friend's house after school and trick-or-treated until late, so we didn't see him for most of the night, but my parents and I took shifts being the one to get up and answer the door for kids. 8/ We got maybe 50 or so? The first group I answered the door for consisted of one kid around 12 and a bunch of older kids, maybe 16 or so. ~_~ The kid had some sort of costume, and one of the older guys had a mask on, but the others just had garbage bags for candy. Laaaame. Not to mention they had the nerve to ask for more. Ugh, I didn't want to argue so I gave them a second koolaid thing but fffffffffff kids these days. >:O

Today was... not productive in the least, haha. I spent the whole day marathoning the last half of Lucky Star so I'm officially braindead. @_@; Watched Toradora and Tales of the Abyss, too. I'm all anime'd out for a bit now, I think. I don't really feel like gaming, though, so I'm at a bit of a loss for what to do tomorrow. Maybe I'll marathon season two of Dexter so my dad will stop whining at me for not watching season three. I still have yet to see all of season one, but I suppose I saw enough of it that it won't matter. :(

Omggggg. Cherrim is SO cute in PMD2. n__n I finally beat the game and beat the evolution sidequest thing so I got to evolve Marluxia and so cuuuuute. ♥ HE SKIPS WHEN I WALK AROUND DURING SUNNY DAY. Aawwww. XD

So last night I sort of organized my desk area and was gonna take a picture and be all "LOL HERE'S MY DESKTOP I'M SO WITTY" but then my camera didn't work. :( Wtf, I only got it in April. I searched around and it looks like a problem with the iris or the CCD. I only got it in April so I hope it's still under warranty, but my parents got it for me as a gift so it might be refurbished and without a warranty... I dunno. D: It won't take pictures though and that makes me sad. No idea what could've gone wrong because it was working fine as early as last week and when I'm not using it, it stays safely in my organizing compartment thingy. Baaaw. ;_;'

Anyway. Cherrim is adorable. Just thought you should all know that. And now that I have it, I think I'm done with this game for now... haha, I'm so shallow. I need more Cherrim icons.

*sigh* Last few days aren't too bad though. I've been high on painkillers and somehow managed to pump out a pretty decent layout for a site I'm working on. Of course, most of the coding and designing had already been done but still. At one point I did start typing the lyrics to the song I was listening to in my CSS. I didn't even realize what I was doing until I realized the one line of text was longer than all the others and I assumed it was a typo for a second. Lmao, highlight of the night. XD

Anyway, tonight I finally pulled out and assembled my monitor. It's so big and pretty. *_* I love it! The only thing I don't love is my dad's laptop's keyboard. It's 17" so the layout is a LOT different from mine. I really hate the enter key and the shift keys are killing my typing as well. x__O I'll probably stop in somewhere on Saturday and pick up a USB keyboard so that I don't have to get used to this one and then get used to my own all over again.

So I got $100 from my grandpa for Christmas last year. I wanted to spend it on something useful. So like... not a video game I'll play obsessively for a year or so and then drop when I find a new fandom. So I haven't found anything to get yet. I was thinking of a new tablet but then I found my old stylus pen so I didn't need one. But I've decided.

I'M GOING TO GET MYSELF A DIGITAL CAMERA FOR MY BIRTHDAY.

But, uh, this is where I'm kind of a noob. :( I don't know much about cameras. So I'm asking you guys what kind of cameras are good.

I won't be using this camera for much aside from taking random pictures (because random photos are fun!) and so I don't need anything ridiculously advanced. I... don't even know what features I'd be using or what features commonly come on a camera. Except auto-focus! I'd need that. (But that's probably like... standard on EVERYTHING now.)

So yeah. D: Even if you guys just name a few brands you think are good. Price isn't really an issue, but considering this will be for casual use only, I'm not really willing to pay more than a couple hundred for it. I'll probably be heading out to a few big box stores this weekend just to gawk at them, so if I have some sort of grounds to start with, it'd be pretty awesome. :D

Right, so dad called me around 3:30 to ask if I'd seen his wallet. XD; He left it at home and the reason he wanted it was to buy me a 500 gb external hard drive. ♥ I found it by the garage door and he said he'd swoop by and pick me up to get it and then we'd head off to Future Shop. :D

So, off we went. Unfortunately they didn't have it in stock anymore, so we ordered it online instead. If it doesn't get here by the time I move out next week (six days, omg wtf) then he said he'd drive up to give it to me. Aww~ After that, we went to mail FFVII to morkula. We stopped in at Staples, first, because they used to have a post office. But now it's just a purolator centre. We did see triforce89 in line there though as we left. XD; Then we went to Shopper's...but they didn't have one either. :B Finally we ended up in this dinky little convenience store by my old orthodontist that had a Canada Post office. I got the thing mailed and then we came back home.

I also found out why mom was so nice this morning, leaving a sticky note thanking my brother and I for doing a few chores yesterday before bedtime. It's because she wants us to clean the whole damn house for her friend who's coming over for dinner on Thursday. Aww, mom, how sweet of you. Too bad neither of us really want to clean up your crap, so it will be in the corner for you to sort through tomorrow night whether you like it or not. ♥ Clean your own damn mess, kthx.

Uh, right. I'm currently addicted to Puzzle Quest (EVEN IF I JUST HAVE THE TRIAL VERSION SIFHSJLKFS) so I'm gonna go back to that now.

Last night was fun. XD; I don't even remember how it started, but we got talking about Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I think from the Knights Who Say Ni, but I don't remember why we were talking about them in the first place. Either way, I decided to watch the movie, but since I was already on webcam and was probably boring the hell out of everyone, I just turned the cam around to face the screen and we all watched it together. Omg, that was fun. XDD; We were up until like 3 watching it and some extras before I went to bed. Killer bunny ftw. :DD

So this morning I woke up continuously at 8, 8:30, 9, 9:30, etc. @_@ Finally got up at 11:30, lol. I came downstairs and no one was home, so I ate breakfast. Then dad came home with a new computer chair and the printer that came with our new computer. So I got to work setting that up. I should read instructions better (even if it comes with 4 sets of instructions, and all of them say "read me first!"). I did everything in the "Quick Start" guide, only to find that when I pulled down the ink cartridge compartment lid, the slot wouldn't slide over so I could insert them. Apparently I had to put the sticker/card on the top that labels the buttons. Or something. So I did that and it worked. I finished everything, hunted down the Vista driver and...then realized it didn't come with the USB cable. x__x We didn't have the right type, so a few hours later mom took me to Best Buy to get them. Came home, and it works. Well, it works as a printer, anyway. It's an all-in-one and I'm testing the scanning now.

And now that it's scanning, it's really, really loud. And...it doesn't like my light pencilwork. XD; Crap. I should figure out how to work this thing. Otherwise I get to drag the old scanner back in here so it can stuff up the place with its ugly. (Haha, it's in my room now, whether I have a spot for it or not.) :|

Um, right. So we had a really nice dinner tonight. Lobster and steak, yay. No occasion, too, which was weird. Well, dad said it was to celebrate somehow saving about $2000 on our vacation next month by leaving a day early. XD; That works for me.

Mom took over this computer right after dinner though. She said she'd need five minutes, so I put in my MSN away status: Gone for "five minutes." Back in thirty. I came back about an hour and a half later and she was still there. :| I watched most of the hockey game, some of another one, played DDR, played Pokemon Puzzle League, watched more hockey, watched Bryan play his stupid MMO, and ate some food, and she still wasn't done. Argh. Serves me right to give up the computer when she's "about to go to bed." Also, that was a giant leap in music. Marilyn Manson to the opening to Chobits. Rofl. D:

And frig, I give up on you, stupid scanner. YOU SCAN TOO LIGHTLY AND I'M NOT GOING OVER MY LINES KTHX BECAUSE THEY'RE CRAPPY LITTLE SKETCHES. >:O Also, you're too loud. Stfu, scanner, people are sleeping.

Wow, today was very not-productive. And I'm tired so I'll go to bed now instead of doing English like I'd planned to do after scanning, lol. As I mentioned, the reformat and upgrade went well. :D And then I woke up this morning to find the FM+ website had finally opened. And that's where I grabbed the wallpaper. That was great. xD I've flipped through the whole thing several times now. Someone at one of the KH LJ comms I watch had taken screenshots and cropped them of all the interesting screens on the site, so half my work was done, but they'd missed some of the ones I was interested in. So. I did that just now. XD Will probably make icons from them, yay~

Also. I can pretty much confirm that that screenshot of a new area that's all white, the one I thought was Castle Oblivion, IS Castle Oblivion. I don't think I screened it, but they have a higher quality version on the site somewhere and I pulled out my DS to check and sure enough, the design on the wall is on the wall in COM. Though, the KH2 design is missing two panels next to the design...but still. I'm damn certain that's Oblivion. :[

Other than that, I haven't done anything today. I played TP for a bit, and I'm in that sky temple, but I got stuck again and I really don't like that place so I barely even want to bother continuing. DX

So, I did the reformat tonight. I must say it went rather well. I did indeed manage to copy all the old e-mails over for my parents as asked and this computer runs so much faster. I didn't think it would be so noticeable. o_o; But it is! And it's great! So far I've just installed the OS, Firefox, Office, and a few other things (working on Photoshop now) but I'm really happy with this so far. xD Not to mention it looks a hell of a lot better than it has before. Windows 2000 is nice, but really ugly.

Anyway, today as a whole was pretty fun. I woke up late and came online to find that the Tales of Symphonia OAV page was updated. :D The first disc comes out June 8th. xD I won't be getting it buuut...I can at least hope for DVD rips...right? ;_;' If not, I'll work something out. x_o; Maybe the computer plays DVDs of a different region? I dunno. It looks great though. Site's here, btw. I can't waaait. :D

Um, so yes. After that, I played Twilight Princess for a few hours. Finished up the dungeon temple thingy I was in and continued on. Apparently I'm only about five or six hours away from completing the game now? That's exciting, though kind of depressing since it's really the only game I have for Wii. XD; Oh well.

Theen...there was the whole Bryan-bringing-friends-home thing. That sucked. But they left soon enough and when mom came home, I sat her down to make sure I hadn't missed anything when sifting through all the files and folders for anything of hers. Then I made absolutely sure I'd be able to copy all the e-mails over properly and...got to work. :x It was pretty fun. I love fresh computers. X3

Anyway...tomorrow I sleep in again and will either not get to play with this computer or not get to play TP. One or the other since Bryan'll be up before me. He went to bed hours ago. XD I'll be in bed momentarily, but first? :x Jeux-France released better scans of the screens from the V-Jump article last week. So. Marluxia first, then bed.
