I'm finally going to reformat my iPod today. XD It's been sitting there full of useless crap for ages. It took about an hour to copy everything off of it and I'm now in the midst of transfering all my songs back into iTunes. I'll probably keep them on this computer anyway, though, so that I don't have to plug my iPod in every time I want to listen to music. ._.; iTunes is the only thing that properly removes it from the computer (Vista won't do it itself o_o) and that makes me paranoid when I pull it out anyway when I don't have time to open iTunes and use it for removal. XO

Will probably thin out my music collection a bit too since I think there's some stuff on my iPod I've never listened to and never plan on listening to either.

I also want a new version of iTunes that's actually compatible with Vista. DX iTunes always errors when I close it out and if I'm doing too much with it (like now), it breaks. o_O; Like, part of the top left menu is just a white box, I currently can't click anything, and the font's changed to something ugly. Not to mention the song display looks ugly too. It also never recognizes itself as the default media program, even though it is. <_<;;

This looks like it's going to take a while. *goes back downstairs to play ToA*

Situated: Computer room
Listening to: Nothing. iTunes might implode. XO

Christmaaaaas~
Merry Christmas people~~

So, Christmas is sort of over for us, I guess. Well, not over, but the space below the tree has been emptied so there's not much left to do until 1'o'clock when we leave for my aunt's house.

Last night we did indeed open our traditional one present. My brother opened that huge one--it turned out to be a new hockey bag. Now he does need one, but...yeah, that's kind of a crappy first present since there's no way he could even use it last night. XD; My brother insisted I open his present to me, so I did.

He got me the iPod clock thingy. *__*~ Basically it's a dock/charger/alarm clock for your iPod, so you can set your alarm and wake up to iPod music or radio or whatever you choose. And it comes with this cute little remote control. xD It's so awesome and I really didn't expect to get one this year.

Everyone filed off to bed around midnight and I headed up around...two, I think? I had an awful sleep for some reason. I woke up around 7 and couldn't get back to sleep for an hour. I woke up again at 9 and kept having very brief sleeps until mom came in at 9:50 to get me up and downstairs.

So...presents!

There was no Wii under the tree when we woke up. I knew that already, but there was still that slight inkling of hope that Dad had in fact found one and just lied to us so we'd actually get it on Christmas. Didn't happen, though. XD;

We opened our stocking presents first. :D I got this moose pin, a pill splitter (since I really need one--I hate cutting them with a knife since it's so hard XD), Hello Kitty chopsticks, a big Toblerone bar, and one of those little 6-in-1 Toblerone bar things. :D My dad, brother and I all got big chocolate letters. Bryan got a "B," dad got "D" (since his name is David XD), and I got "G" for God. I love my family. XD

Also by my stocking was another gift. ^_^ I have a mouse for my laptop now! It's pretty simple--just a wireless optical mouse from Microsoft with a scrollwheel but...omg, I'd forgotten how nice it was to use a mouse. @_@ I don't have to hold down Ctrl to open things in a new tab and it's so easy to close tabs, and it's so convenient! Omg~ :x

Aside from that, I got two new pairs of pajamas. I'm wearing the light blue, fuzzy Hello Kitty ones. They're so cute. xD; I also got a ski helmet and goggles, socks, a book on the Darwin Awards, which says on it "A new volume commemorating individuals who improve our gene pool ... by removing themselves from it" which promises to be awesome. XD

Finally, my brother and I got tickets to see the Edward Scissorhands ballet in April. ^__^ Plus someone uploaded the Death Note anime OST which I've wanted since I saw the first episode, and that just finished downloading so...yay. xD

*so loving this mouse* I wanna start on my chocolate but I think dad's making pancakes, so I shouldn't. @_@

Ugh~
iPod? Never fucking do that again, thanks. So on the bus ride home, I was listening to the Kingdom Hearts II OST on my iPod. Passion ended, and I wanted to listen to Sanctuary, so I skipped ahead (since it just fades out in the end and that part's boring). So...what happens? It freezes. I mean, sometimes it'll freeze for a second before continuing, but this time there was no sound and none of the buttons worked and stuff. And it wouldn't turn off. So I gave up and dropped it in my bag. I forgot about it until just now. I hooked it up to the computer and it still didn't change. ;_; Turns out I had to like...reset it, holding menu and the select button. So glad it worked; I don't have warranty (or if I did, I think it JUST expired since I got this about a year ago). Now I just have to get it to stop turning its backlight back on every time I hook it up to a computer.

Anyway, today sucked, I think. I'm too lazy to remember it. I've got homework to do and a kitchen to clean, so I'd better go do that now.

Oh, yay. And then I can watch Death Note 3. It just finished downloading~

Back to school. Again.
Went to school today!

I woke up around 6:45 and had to rush for a shower, since no one woke me up at 6:30 like they said they would. Managed to be fully ready to go by 7:15 all the same, though. Then mom said we weren't going to catch the bus, but we'd be leaving in 10 minutes. Okay, that's fine. The catch? 10 minutes means 40 minutes. Plus, right after setting out, we had car problems since mom wasn't here for a week and thus...I dunno. Something happened. But we got gas and it was okay. o_o; Anyway, got to school and for like...the first time ever, we were all together in the morning, albeit only for a few minutes.

Physics was...okay. I don't know if I like how violent my teacher is. It's funny in some instances how he connects everything in physics to death, war, etc., but it was annoying today. We were starting projectiles or something and he kept talking about bullets and guns and shooting people. Normally I wouldn't care, but he kept going into detail about how certain types of bullets work when they hit things and such and...yeah, I'm already sick and I nearly had to leave the table at dinner last night because mom was talking about something remotely gross. So...spent much of homeroom feeling nauseous. @_@ Also, he apparently didn't even mark me absent the last two days. XD

Next was French. We had our subjonctif quiz, which I guess I did okay on (18/20...not bad for having forgotten to study and not really looking at the stuff for 4 days). Screwed up on rire and...can't remember the other one. When I handed in my quiz, Madame asked me how I was feeling and what the doctor said I had. She seemed to think it was more than a cold (which it probably is...some flu-cold love child or something) but when I told her I hadn't seen a doctor, she congratulated me. XD; After that we did this group thing where I was apparently group captain. We had to come up with a 10 points concerning the change of female roles in the last 50 years. So we struggled with that for about 15 minutes and presented with our 9 points. The other group went after us...they had the EASIEST question. It was something about...chores or jobs that are often divided between the genders in a domestic setting, but much, much more vague. Argh, that one would have been so easy.

Um, after French was lunch. I took forever at my locker so by the time I got downstairs, Kura and Caitlin had already left for the mall. @_@ So Triffy and I walked up there together and I decided to get sushi in lieu of...whatever mom packed. (It had one of those stupid chocolate ears in it. I wasn't touching it.) Sadly, they had no Coke. ;_; So I had to run back to the convenience store to buy one. And then when I got back to my sushi, I realised the stupid new soya sauce packs they sell are a LOT smaller than the Kimlan ones used previously. So I had to go back and buy another packet. xD The woman at the counter gave me the strangest look when I walked up holding this little thing worth $0.10. Oh well, sushi was good.

Computer science was boring. Titus was away, but I did my work anyway. I actually labelled my program and variables according to the exercises today too for some reason. xD I finished everything so I'm caught up...and probably slightly ahead again. Dunno. o_O Either way, plenty of time was left for hanging around PC, but no one was on since it was the middle of the afternoon. I swear, more people were on in the early morning last year when I had CS homeroom. *grumble* But Triffy and I passed the time PMing each other stupid things. So that was fun.

And...in art, I actually did my work. Fear me~

Bus ride home was okay, but when I got off, it was raining. @_@ It wasn't raining very hard though so the walk wasn't too bad. The rain was nice, actually, since I got so overheated while walking for some reason. That really sucked. >_< Also, it sucked when some retard pulled out of Bressani in his vehicle and stopped at the red light next to me. He insisted on like...revving his engine or whatever so that his back wheels SCREECHED on the road and brought up all this smoke. Didn't help my throat. ;_;

I got home, had about 6 big glasses of water, but that didn't really help. @_@ So I came upstairs, plugged in my iPod speakers for music so I wouldn't fall asleep and just laid on my bed with a wet cloth over my forehead and that helped. ._.; So as a result I spent most of my night in bed until I decided to get up and start cleaning this pigsty of a room. I got all my clothes off the floor and started decluttering...but I ended up stopping once I rounded up all the manga (all I could find in my room, anyway) and found out that I finally ran out of room on my bookshelf. x_x; I have another one, but all my Shonen Jump issues are there (taking up the whole bottom half) and the rest is filled with books. So I'll have to relocate those to Bryan's room. Basically in order to fit my manga (which doesn't even have half my Love Hina volumes nor any Death Note past volume 2) in my room, I have to completely reorganise all my books and figure out which ones should stay in my room and which ones have to go. @_@ So I'll definitely set aside much of this weekend for that. I want this room cleaned so I can rearrange a few things. *wants to move her desk and hopefully her dresser, too*

Finally around...9ish? I stopped cleaning/doing homework (ha, multitasking!) and got on the computer. I got to test out "YamiPod" which is this program I downloaded last night that can synchronise your iPod with your Last.fm account. It works! It posted all the songs I'd listened to over the course of the day and at what time. :D It doesn't like the fact that I listen to so much though. It only sends a few at a time and it errored me for trying to send over 100. XD

And um, finally, this sucks. That appointment with the gynecologist I was supposed to have tomorrow? They cancelled! ;_;! Rescheduled date is October 5th but...I can't do that. I'm not going another period without those pills. ;_; So mom's gonna call tomorrow and see about booking an earlier one. And if not, she'll try to get the doctor to prescribe another half dozen of the pills or so. That way I can go to school. @_@;;

Um, that's all for now. I wasn't even going to make an entry...yet I wrote so much, wtf. :\

WinAmp just killed my iPod. D: Triffy and I are trying to find a fix now, but I'll probably have to be off in a few minutes. x_X So now I'm copying everything in iPod_Control before I reformat my iPod, I think. Not exactly sure yet, but we think we've found the fix. *grumbles*

9_9 At least my brother's off the good computer. Sadly, he got off 2 minutes before I had to be off the computers too. ;_;! I almost want to just stay up all night and get on the computer at six in the morning just to take it from him all day. >\

Also, using my laptop with the room set up this way is going to be impossible unless I get wireless on it or unless dad buys a longer ethernet cable. Both of which he probably won't do for me. ;_;

Oh good, mom doesn't care if I stay on to fix my iPod. 8D

And a meme since it's floating around my flist. )

Cleared iPod now. @_@

Okay, I'm happier now, so real entry.

Last night I got home at 10:30, which was annoying since I had a Physics test to study for, a ton of verbs to write out for French, and lots of art to do, since I'd neglected to do it up until that point. I was out for so long because mom decided it would be fun to take me to a presentation on EQ (emotional intelligence). It was okay, but it was really meant for parents so it was geared toward them. For example, when we had to get into groups, the discussion questions were like, "How does your child act when he or she receives a good mark? A bad mark?" So like...yeah. HI, I DON'T HAVE CHILDREN. :D This nice lady in my group included me in other ways (such as letting me answer how *I* act in the situations and whatnot) but once I was included in the group, this middle-aged Chinese guy took it upon himself to ask me for advice on raising his kids. Like, nothing serious, but he wouldn't stop with questions like "Am I not being strict enough with my children when they come home with bad test marks? How should I balance their computer/game time with homework and practise time?" Okay, hello. I'm SIXTEEN and I'm NOT A LEADING EXPERT ON CHILDREN KTHX. o_O How the hell should I know? I can't even remember what I kept saying.

Anyway, so that got us home around 10:30, as I said. I had enough time to do my verb thing, but that was it. x_x; So when I got to school this morning I had to do my art...I managed to finish one refined rough before art (and was planning to use the excuse "you never checked my other sketches so I didn't know which other one to refine") but then...she never checked our work. Argh. x_x; I could have STUDIED for something MORE IMPORTANT the entire time. I did study throughout all of art and a bit of lunch (though not really), and I was so confident for almost everything going in...but then for some reason I didn't do well. :\ I got through the multiple choice just fine, and then the refraction stuff...but everything was just bleh. x_x; Especially the things to do with lenses--and it doesn't make sense that I don't get it because going in I KNOW I did understand it and I was actually AT SCHOOL for that part. Ugh, I hate that; I can't blame absences or others, but I can't really blame myself either because it's not like I didn't know it. oO; Though it must have been. But...agh. So confused. XP

So anyway, I stayed afterschool to scrape up whatever marks I could but in the process missed the bus. So I ended up at the mall where I saw Paul, Marilyn and...Angela? @_@ Don't really know her. Anyway, tagged along with them for a bit before attempting *several* times to call my parents from the free phone at the mall. Last night, since we were in a shady area for the presentation I had put my phone in her purse (and had to hold my iPod all night) since I didn't want to leave my stuff in the car or in my jacket in the hall...and the STUPID UNIFORM for girls doesn't have pockets. But yeah, she apparently put my phone in her coat pocket for some reason and forgot to give it back--so I went through this with virtually no way of contacting anyone. o_o; So yeah, neither parent was picking up their cell phone and I have yet to memorize (or even write down) my mom's new work number so it took a while. ;_;' I finally got through to my dad and he said he'd pick me up around 5. I did my other refined sketch while waiting and some people were creepy and would just stop walking to watch me colour. oO;;

Anyway, now I'm home and I'm happy. As most of you probably don't know or care, the fourth disc of my Tales of Symphonia OST (which is the best one, imo, because of "End of a Thought" and "Beat the Angel") has been missing for months now. T_T I had no idea where it was, so tonight when I wanted to rip the OST to my iPod, I decided to look for it even harder than I have in recent. I FINALLY FOUND IT THOUGH! XD I was about to give up and just go downstairs with the two discs I could locate (discs 1 and 3) but I checked some of the CD cases lying out by my player and...it was in my Billy Talent case! ^_^ So, of course, I have no idea where my Billy Talent CD is (XD;) but at least I have my entire Tales OST again. <3 (I eventually found disc 2 in the CD wallet in the kitchen~) So yeah. I now have discs 1 and 4 on my iPod and I'm waiting for disc 2 to finish ripping so I can transfer them over. :3

IT'S SO GREAT TO HEAR END OF A THOUGHT AGAIN. ^____^

So...yesterday, I got home from school and immediately got online to check the iPod availability at both Best Buy and Future Shop. They had the black one in at the Best Buy near me. I called them and asked them to hold one for me, but they said they had only two left and couldn't do it. I called my dad and he said he'd be home around 6 since he had an eye appointment and I figured they'd all be gone by that time. ;_;' But Dad, since he's so awesome, decided to come home early and he picked it up on the way~ :D

So Erica has an iPod now! ^__^ It's black, and it's sexy, and it plays music. And shows pictures. And plays videos and...and...<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

Um...yeah. That was basically my night last night. I also had to go outside and do a bit of yardwork but by the time my mom got home to tell my brother and I where the bags were it was too dark to see. Not to mention VERY, VERY cold so we both got pissed off at her since she refused to come outside and help like she promised she would. ;__;' We ended up coming in after one bag...since it was snowing in our faces and we were freezing.

Then I got my Shonen Jump and was able to put most of my other songs on my iPod too. :3 I had a fun night~

And now I'm at school pretending to do work. :O Whee~
