Yeah I already gave up on that one-blog-a-day thing. :/ I suck. Oh well.

Today was pretty crappy. I woke up and rolled over to turn on my computers. I've gotten back into using my laptop + external monitor setup recently and since it won't recognize that it has a wifi adapter, I have to share the internet connection from my netbook. Annoying... but it gets the job done. This morning, however? LOL NOPE.

My laptop starts up and about 15 seconds later, it reboots itself. Repeatedly. It'll keep doing that until I hold down the power button to stop it. And the display doesn't work--nothing shows up on the screen whether it's the primary display or an external one. :/ I contacted HP and they gave me a few things to try, one of which was to take out the RAM and remount it.

Sooo I got up, dressed, and headed out. Stopped at Zeller's when I got to the mall hoping they'd have a screwdriver (I don't have one of my own which is why I was out, lol) and while I didn't find one, I did find the Jakks Pichu figure. Omg so cute. ;w; So I bought that and walked up to Home Depot. Someone there helped me figure out what I needed and then I came home. Unfortunately it was all for pretty much nothing since that didn't work. XD; HP has decided it's my motherboard.

I don't really want to spend ~$200 fixing my laptop since diagnosing the actual problem (I don't trust HP) and then repairing it could be pricey. It just wouldn't make sense to pay that much when a new computer isn't too much more. :( I called my parents and asked for advice and we're trying to decide what to do. I don't *NEED* a full computer but it makes things a LOT easier because there's only so much I can do on my netbook with only 1GB ram and a resolution of 1024*600. I'd love to get another decent-sized notebook so I can continue to dual-screen but anything I want is well out of my price range so we're looking at desktops now. This is just... really annoying, because I don't have money much to work with (I don't want my parents paying all of this) and I WAS hoping to save up somewhat for a new DS since mine is dying. ;_; *sigh*

But lol yeah HP made me cry again. :'( Haaaaaaaate it so much. (Honestly how hard can it be to send a box internationally?? Why should the CUSTOMER have to be the one jumping through hoops?) Oh, and sorry to the people I was probably mean to today. Dealing with HP always puts me in an AWFUL mood so I was pretty snippy and unattentive to anyone who popped up on MSN. u_u

*sigh* Well, I got NOTHING done that I'd wanted to get done today. May as well go to bed and try again tomorrow.

I don't update this enough and I really should. I guess I'm just not doing anything interesting and anything notable enough to get a mention is stuff I don't really feel like talking about or else I've said enough on twitter.

→ Mom got her new car the other week. It's nice. I got to drive it (most of the way) home from the car dealership. I wasn't a fan of the colour but it's growing on me. My dad and I have named it BFTZ (pronounced Biftiz, sorta) because those are the first four letters on the license plate and we love pronouncing license plates and that is an awesome one. We took the BFTZ to work today 'cause mom was home recovering from having a tooth extracted yesterday.

→ I've been waiting every so impatiently since May 30th for my copy of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days to arrive. Some bitch nearly spoilt it for me on deviantART. It was very hard to not download a ROM to my R4 but I prevailed and it finally arrived last night. I LOVE IT AAAAAAH. Gameplay is fun and Marluxia is in it omggg. He teaches you how to fight (or rather, stands there looking *fabulous* with his hand on his hip as you get swarmed by heartless and are nearly dead). And has gotten like 50x gayer. He runs funny. But when he's actually helping you he's probably the most useful partner I've had so far. XD; We had a wonderful time trying to beat this one stupid boss. I bet he hated me for that because my strategy was just horrible. But enough fangirling (for now).

→ They want me to work five days a week at work. BAAAW. I worked 5 days this week and I'm ready to collapse. But... money is money so I'll probably take the offer. I hope this doesn't burn me out. (It probably will.)

→ I need to sell some stuff to make money. :( I really want a new computer since my HP is a piece of shit. I got internet working on it the other day by reconfiguring my linksys router with custom firmware to turn it into a wireless switch but it worked for a day and then stopped and I'm not reconfiguring every time I turn that thing on so it's basically acting as a paperweight right now.

→ Snagged the username "lightningism" on facebook. I'll probably regret that one day since I changed right at midnight and could've picked a plethora of names but oh well. It's only FB. Not like I ever use it anyway lolol.

→ goddamn I'm tired. And it's only 1 AM. Hahaha. Gotta get up earlyish to pick up my prescription for Sunday and then clean up a bit before Dean gets here. He's coming over around 1 to pick up his copy of 358/2 and then sticking around to play. omggg I can't wait to try out multiplayer.

I hate Hewlett-Packard. I really do. <_< Shittiest computers EVER.

But I digress. Point-form because if I do paragraphs this will go on forever and I have to go to bed soon. (Hate getting up at 6am for work. HATE.)

1. Was going to see Up yesterday but my parents went out to just look at cars yesterday afternoon and came home at like 7. To tell me they bought a new one. wtf? We're getting it in about a week. :|

2. Spent most of the day cleaning, vacuuming, scrubbing, and polishing our current car so that we can sell it. Put it up on Kajiji and stuff last night and already got interest so it had to be done fast.

3. Missed the 4:50 3D showing of Up so we bought tickets for the 7pm and did some shopping. I picked up a USB wireless adaptor and the person who rung me up was in my class in grade 8 so that was cool.

4. Came home to realize HAHA MY COMPUTER IS SO SHITTY IT WON'T WORK. It picked up the network briefly but wouldn't get internet and when I tried to fix it, it stopped working entirely. Whoo.

5. Saw Up! omggg it's definitely one of my favourite Pixar movies! It really, really sucked that so many people brought their kids to it though. (Who brings kids to a movie at 7 PM on a school night??) Mom took forever getting ready (again) or something so we got there with 5 minutes to spare and there were no seats together so we sat apart since the other option was sitting in the very front row which is a big no. So I was near the back on the end of a row and there were loud kids all around me including one who had to go "DID YOU SEE THAT? IT'S A BLIMP" etc. for the whole movie. Ugh. :( Loved the movie though!

6. Came home and dad immediately yelled at us to clean up the stairs since someone's coming to see the car and he piled everything in the house that didn't belong on the main floor there. Now he's super angry because he can't find his driver's license. /sigh

7. Still can't get the wireless internet working on my main laptop. I can't play WoW *and* Skype on my netbook (not enough memory). I can't keep playing it on the desktop because I'll get kicked off too often and dad doesn't want anything hefty installed on it. Can't play it on the old desktop because it has a keyboard that infinitely types 44444444444444 or aaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I dunno what I'm gonna do since we started that up again. Or for the first time depending on if my two days of trial counted or not. Sooo I'm gonna have to spend ages catching up at this rate.

8. Guess I'll try the stupid USB thing once more and if that doesn't work, maybe I'll take my off-time on Tuesday between E3 keynotes to reconfigure the wireless router I have lying around into a bridge. I know there are tutorials for it. SOUNDS LIKE FUN. :(

9. I still can't find my iPod. Maybe I really did leave it in Waterloo? ffff. I can't afford a Touch and that's the only replacement I want now.

haha see? Such a long entry. Imagine if I'd actually done that in proper paragraph form, spending forever on each point. You people would hate me. Anyway, gotta go make myself dinner and get to bed within 20 minutes or I'm losing sleep. Hooray!

UM so I've barely updated in a month. Point form here we go!

→ Reading week was both productive and not at all productive. Studied a bit and then learnt I had to send my laptop back to HP (long story but I hate them to pieces now) and we didn't want to sooooo my parents bought me a netbook omg. ;o; It's an MSI Wind and I love it to pieces. So it provides me with my wifi and I'm keeping my laptop around for now and it just kinda acts as a static desktop haha.

→ Got a new phone too. It's so sexy. Samsung m*number number number more numbers* Slyde or something. idk it's pink and has a full qwerty keyboard and is my best friend. \o/ Whoo for being able to access twitter wherever. (I fell in love with it when I saw sasha_janre post a picture of her new one and had to go out and get my own since I've been planning to upgrade my phone for well over a year now. XD)

→ Wrote 8 billion midterms. Or like... 5 or something. I don't even know what number I'm approaching but it's AWFUL. My weeks are just a blur of math assignments and midterms. It's quite stressful. :( Stress is relieved by my 360. I honestly have little to say about all this since it's so boring.

→ I've been watching a lot of anime in my little breaks between class, or when I get home from class to unwind... Still watching Sailor Moon, fully caught up in Toradora and most of ToA, probably others. Watched Hetalia and liked it, much to my annoyance. ;o; Kinda avoiding fandom like whoa since from what I can tell on F!S it causes more wank than I'd care to pay attention to.

→ Health issues have been all over the place. Kinda tmi so I won't go into detail but I'm back to square -1. If you're interested past that, hit me up on MSN or something idk. I'm so frustrated with it though. Getting home for an appointment this week was a disaster too. twitter friends got a play-by-play but I basically missed my greyhound bus, missed it again at the other stop, had to city bus it to the bus terminal and then had to kill time for 1.5 hours to catch the next one to Toronto. Then when I was subwaying it to Yorkdale from downtown so my mom could pick me up, the subway got stuck for a good 15 minutes at a stop. Doors were open. I forgot my jacket. The next day was freezing too (and laced with bad/annoying news haha). ffff inaccurate weather reports.

→ Pi Day was today and that was awesome. Especially awesome when I looked up my stuff for my midterm on monday and realized it's actually NEXT Monday so I can slack off a bit this weekend thank god. It was a busy weekend because today was Pi Day (had to go buy a pie+ice cream and pick up my brother's birthday gift) and tomorrow is my brother's birthday and my family's coming up to see me. So I would've had... very little study time.

→ Got lots of Pokémon stuff lately + on the way. Shit still need to respong to an email regarding something. >< Aaah I've been so behind on email lately too haha.

→ My sink was plugged today so I got to trek over to Sobey's at like 10:30 to buy Draino or whatever. It was kind of a fun walk and it was still nice out from earlier (above zero!) so omggggggg. ♥

→ While I was home over the week, my parents said they want to take another family vacation. :] We're kind of all over the place as far as opinions go. Dad keeps pitching Mexico or Cuba or something (do. not. want. D:), mom just wants a hot vacation in the winter, and I... have no real preference so long as it's not something tropical or too... outdoorsy? Getting a tan doesn't interest me in the least. My brother and I have decided we kinda wanna push for Europe but we only have like 10 days to do it so idk. D:

→ Pokémon Platinum in one week! Aaah I almost wish my midterm was this Monday just so I could actually play Platinum somewhat. XD; Maybe I won't play it until after my midterm is done and save it for a reward hmmm.

→ ALSO I KEEP HAVING ZOMBIE DREAMS. WHAT THE HELL. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THAT MEANS?? Like I swear I've had about 10-15 different zombie apocalypse dreams in the last month. If there aren't literally zombies, the atmosphere is always me or someone just ahead of an outbreak and trying to find shelter, weapons, food, etc. It's driving me crazy. 8(

Okay so I started doing this last week but then the week kinda got really crappy. (The day after, the only good thing about my day was immediately negated by something else. It wasn't a bad day, but... it also had nothing really good about it that couldn't be negated so it was neutral and I kinda gave up on the meme.) ♥ No work today! I slept in! (Yeah, Friday was supposed to be my last day but my boss forgot so now I'm in tomorrow and Wednesday. XD;)

♥ Had my doctor's appointment today. Got my needle and I'm cleared for lupron for the next five months. :D

♥ Had Little Caesar's Pizza on the way home!! Mom and I were driving along Dundas and we were like, "well, we'll stop for food. *jokingly* Maybe a Little Caesar's if we see one." And lo and behold, not even a block later, there it was. (We NEVER see them around here since there aren't any near my house and I love their bread sticks. XD)

♥ My mom's Christmas present arrived! I was a little worried it wouldn't come in time for Christmas even though Indigo's site said that, on the day I ordered, it was still the last day for shipping by Christmas Eve in the GTA.

♥ There was a Pokémon Christmas special on TV today and my dad watched it with us! xD He loves Psyduck and it was one of the characters so every time Psyduck was on screen, he'd point and announce it. And laugh when it did something stupid like fall down stairs. It was fun. :D

♥ I got a bandaid when I got my lupron shot today! I hate not getting bandaids with needles. I like having them there to remind me that I got a shot so that I'll remember to be more careful with the area so I don't fall to the floor in pain.

So TWEWY is fricking awesome. I won't be online much in the near future because I'm just so hooked, though I did manage to pry myself away from the game to play a little Eternal Sonata. Once I finish this post, I'll be going back there.

Today was pretty awesome. I woke up around 10:30 and immediately rolled over and turned my DS back on, haha. After about an hour I decided to come check e-mail, and while scrolling my friends page, mom came in to say she was heading out. I got dressed and went with her.

We stopped in at Future Shop and I got my new monitor! :D It's an LG L226WA. It was either that or the HP, and considering I've been annoyed at HP lately (and it was really glossy and I don't really like glossy screens), I decided to go with the LG. We've used an LG on the mega-new desktop for a year now and I've always quite liked it. Unfortunately, mine is a black finish instead of a slick silver like our old one, but I'll live. It's a bit depressing that I don't know what to do with it right now. I'll probably take it up to my room and game on it to test it out after I hook it up briefly to one of these desktops. I have a 14 day period to make sure it works and I won't have my laptop in that. XD; But yeah, it was only $250ish because it was an open box monitor (instead of regular $330). I was taking out my bank card to pay for it but mom was faster with her credit card. She excused it first as air miles points, but then also said it was for my birthday. Whaaaat. :| I countered that they got me the camera for my birthday and that *I* should be buying this but then she started arguing. I... I dunno. I'll feel AWFUL if I don't pay some of it. <_<; I'll probably have to give the money to dad though, ahaha.

Anyway, after that we went to Promenade Mall. We stopped in at Sears and I finally got the faulty watch band replaced. Well, not the band, but the little... spoke... thing... that connects the band to the watch. It's wobbly so it would always fall off at random times and it was very annoying. XD; After that, mom wanted to buy socks for my dad so I went ahead to EB. I found Legend of Zelda: Master Quest there so I snagged that up. *_* I also got Persona 3: FES and the MGS Collection. I didn't realize the MGS games were gonna be so cheap. o_O; When I asked my hyperactive salesperson to ring it up, I figured it'd be a full price game but... yay it wasn't. 8D; This guy was so weird though. He was like bouncing off the walls and kept pretending to attack his coworker. XD; Then since P3 and MGS are M games, he started to ask me for ID and then when I was pulling out my license, he changed his mind. He said he remembered checking my ID before and I was just kind of like "o_O" since, one, I haven't BEEN to that store probably since the end of high school and two, well, even if I DID buy an M game there (the only one I can think of was God of War and that was at Yorkdale), HOW DOES HE REMEMBER ME!? Oh well, saved my hand a trip to my pocket. But man, the guy was so strange. XD; Fun to talk to, though.

Then uhh, mom and I did a bit of grocery shopping and grabbed some food and came home. That's about all of it.

Then I might pick up my monitor. Regardless, I'm definitely grabbing TWEWY and maybe PMD2 while I'm there. And the Persona 3 director's cut edition or whatever. I dunno. @_@; We'll see! I might finally get my haircut, too. I'm so overdue for one it's not funny. XD;

They won't repair it in Canada. I have to send it to the US so it can be sent for US repair and sent back to the US to be sent back to me in Canada. (Why can't they just order the parts they need to Canada and fix it...?)

Goddamnit HP. >:\ Now I'm gonna be without a laptop for like a MONTH of school. I'm probably going to have to forego my monitor and just buy a cheap computer for school in a week's time. Dad's going to the states next weekend, so he could ship it off then and get it repaired, but we'd still have to wait for that and then pay the shipping for it back to Canada. ._.; *sigh* This is so disappointing.

I've been worried most about my laptop's hard drive over all this--especially after drummershuff mentioned they wiped his hard drive when they repaired his laptop for this problem. I can TOLERATE being on the desktops since internet browsing is mostly the same but there were a lot of files on my laptop that I just didn't have backups of and that made me sad. :(

That said... it's only the screen or whatever that is broken. I just managed to log into my laptop with no visuals and set my entire C drive to be public for sharing... and then networked it to the desktop. So now I'm in the process of transferring them. I'll just let that go for however long it needs (I go back to work in 10 minutes XD) and then I don't mind sending my laptop in for repairs. The box should be here by tomorrow at the latest, too. Homg, I'm so, so happy. ;_;'
